I just picked up an Aimpoint ML2 and GG&G mount this weekend (at 25% off, nice) but the place was out of stock on the black rubber boot. is that something i need or should have? this is for a hobby gun that sees range time and has been to one class so far and will be seeing another at the end of june
i did a search on "Aimpoint rubber" and came up empty thanks in advance Mike |

my rubber cover never leaves the range bag. i used it @ first, but it's kind of a novelty item i think. it probably would be better to drop your rifle scope down WITH the cover on than without, but i don't plan on trying either...

I dont see how the rubber cover can protect it from anything other than scratching the finish...it doesnt even seem to fit right unless your mounting ring has a full bottom half and then the top is in two pieces...otherwise either the top or side bulges will just be floppy because there is no ring to support there...I only got one in FDE to match the furniture... |
