I have an Eotech, and will be purchasing an Aimpoint soon.  Assuming I like both and will continue to use both, can I use an Eotech or Aimpoint magnifier with both or would I need one of each brand for each sight???  I'm guessing that they are both very similar if not identical, but as with most things in life I am probably wrong .  My quess is that as long as the height is lined up correctly then you are good.  Does anyone know if one or the other will work with both brands?  Thanks in advance.

Yes, it would work on both as long as the height is correct.

I suppose I should have been more clear.  I realize that the magnifier will magnify anything that you put in front of it.  My question is are Eotech and Aimpoint sights close enogh in height that either magnifier will work with either sight.  I am currently running an Eotech 516, and can't decide between an M4 or T1 as far as Aimpoint goes.  I would like to be able to just switch the magnifier between rifles, and not have to worry about changing sight bases, etc, to do so.  I just want to throw the magnifier on and go.  I assume that one way or another I could make this possible, but I am wondering if that it going to work from stock, or will there be a bunch of trial and error and spent $$$$ on my part to find the right mounts to do so.  On a side note, what if any difference is there in the 2 magnifiers.  Anybody reccommend one over the other????????
