A buddy has a Bushmaster with a 16" barrel, and flat top receiver.  He wants to mount a scope on it, but still wants to be able to use the front sight post and purchase a rear sight (flip up).  Is there a mount out there for this, or will he have to ditch the front sight post and buy that in a flip up version also?

If the scope is 4x or more your buddy should not see the front sight at all when the scope is on the rifle. He would have to remove to use the iron sights.

Any scope with a minimum magnification of 3X or greater.  Any of the Larue SPR styled scope mounts for tradtional scopes.  Any low profile rear BUIS that will fit under his scope (Troy, the new MI, KAC, Matech, etc.)
