[ARCHIVED THREAD] - EOTech lens problem.

My rifle and EOTech have been in the safe for some time and I just got it all back out recently.

I now seem to have what can best be described as a residue or film on the inside of the front lens. It is just foggy enough to be distracting and it actually caused me some problems on the range last week with the sun at a certain angle. Anyone else ever experience this?

I assume there is nothing that can be done about this short of returning it to EOTech for repair, eh?

What is EOTech's service like? Reckon they will charge for the fix?

The unit is a 551 rev E that I have had for 4+ years.

from what i understand, there is no space inside the glass. Its solid glass then a laminate layer on the shooter side. If there is really a fog INSIDE, i say ask for a replacement.

I had a 512 that developed a distortion and it was just out of warranty. It was repaired w/o charge.
