After much research I have decided that the Acog TA11 is the sight for my needs.  I like the donut and the horseshoe reticles, however, I've only shot one with a chevron reticle.  Does anyone have any words of advice from experience or research regarding these reticles?  Is one "easier" on the eye than another?  I've found I can get those reticles in either green or red.  Any thoughts on color?  I have a flat-top AR so I'm looking for the full size sight.  I don't see the point in getting the compact when I have to buy a mount for additional money.  I've done pricing searches online with the lowest price found around $950.  Does anyone know of a website or company that would sell it for cheaper?

Thank you in advance!

There is more to it than just chevron, donut, and horse shoes.

The TA11's BDC is meant to be used with the TA11 mounted on the carry handle.

The TA11F's BDC is meant to be used when it is mounted on a flat top.  The TA-11F comes with the flat top mount.

I have a TA-11H that I just got reciently and love it.  I've used the chevron reticle but much prefer the horseshoe w/ dot.  I'm not sure why it works so well but it does.  i love it.  I would definantly recommend the H reticle.

IMO,  the TA11 series is the best Trijicon ACOG made.  I have a 11E and 11F and they are great....the E is on a FAL and the F is on a RRA CAR with an 11" DD quad rail over a low profile gas bock and it is an excellent set up.  Both have the red chevron . I have looked through an amber and I do not like the color.  I have a TA33 with a red chevron and it too is great...as you can see I am biased to the red chevron, any futureACOG's I purchase will have this set up.

To be more specific I am looking at a TA11-H or TA11-G.  Unfortunately I've only found them on swfa.com and they run between $1,145 and $1,190.  Haven't found these anywhere else.....is swfa.com the sole supplier??  Would be nicer if there was another website to compare prices to......

The green reticle is a new listing so not everyone has it and I wouldn't be surprised to find that SWFA doesn't have it in stock yet.
