does anyone have an experience with one.  I have decided on getting  an eotech and magnifyer, I just need help decidng which one.  

I am leaning toward a 557 and 3X magnifyer.

any help would be appreciated.

I spose if you get one without a fucked up reticle, they're good...

I have one with a clone 4X....I really like it.....I would purchase again (since the Elcan DR is outta my price range)

There is a huge topic on this sight and the piss poor QC it has with some features.  Seems that if you do no plan to use nigh vision it "could" serve you well.

I do not like EOThings, but that said, if I were going to get one I would get a 552.

I had a 557 with 3x magnifier.  The positives are that you could CQB because of the flip to side on the magnifier and with one flip you can accurately engage targets, and identify targets farther out.  The optics are clean and clear and the bullet drop reticle is pretty cool.  The negatives are that the assembly uses a LOT of real estate on your rifle.  They are both big and add a lot of weight.  I ended up selling them and going back to an Aimpoint Comp M2 with Larue mount.  Much lighter and just fine for engaing targets from 0-150 yards.  I simply cannot imagine ever really needing to go out farther.  That is just me though.  YMMV.
