| I just purchased a Trijicon Tripower and went to sight it in on the range today but when trying to adjust the windage the chevron doesn't move left or right. I plan on calling Trijicon on Monday to see if I need to send it in but, has anyone run into this problem before? |

i dont know about the tripower, but the acogs need "banged" into zero. try tapping on the scope with a rubber mallet or shoot a mag through it fast and then see if zero has changed. I dont have a trij. but have read about them. so.... LMAO wow, really?!?! Jay |

I was talking with the engineers at Trijicon and they are considering including a special Trijicon-branded hammer to include with each ACOG they sell.

My ACOGs all require the tapping method. |

Before you go bangin on it ... be sure that you know what to expect when you make adjustments. 1. Best if the weapon is bench rested. Steadily hold on target (bullseye, etc…). I'd start at 50 yds. 2. Fire a couple shots and see how far off you are from your intended target/bullseye. 3. Make corrections as necessary. If your bullet holes are hitting lower than your bullseye then click 'UP'. This will bring your POI (point of impact/bullet holes) up. The crosshairs/red dot/chevron will NOT move. 4. Fire a couple shots to see if your adjustments did move your POI (point of impact). If you're too high or too low then make adjustments as necessary and fire a couple shots to ensure that your POI moved appropriately. Some people expect to see their red dot move when they make corrections. It’s actually the opposite, your POI moves, not the dot. You might know all this already, but I just wanted to be clear. |

Thanks all for such quick responses.
The gun was bench rested and I was shooting at 25 meters(Inside the Tripower manual it says to do this to be zeroed in a 300m). After shooting a three shot group I made my adjustments and started the next group but all they were in the same spot as the original. And it continued that for the rest of the shooting session. All the shots were about 1 ft. to the left of the center of the target. I'll try using the "tapping" method to see if that will work. |

Are you guys being serious about the ACOG...... Yes. The damn ajustments stick. The scope is built like a tank to survive combat. The tapping thing is a well known scope setting requirement. True, it's due to the design of the prism. You do not have to smack the scope, recoil will set the prism. Smacking the scope will save you time when zeroing. You shouldn't need to smack the TriPower, it uses a completely different mechanism. If you are still having issues, contact our customer service department and send it back in. |

You realise that a foot off target at 25m requires about 100 clicks of adjustment right? |
