| Ok my opinion has always to pay at least as much for my optics as my rifle. I have found that skimping on the optics is a bad idea but lets discuss magnifiers. Any one out there used eotech magnifers and clones? Any thoughts or suggestions? Im thinking it is just a magnifier and Im not needing it to hold zero. Im looking for input from those that have experience with the clones or mainly those that have experience with both clones and original EO Tech ones. |
| I think that it is a good point that a magnifier doesn't have to hold a zero. I bought a cheap $40 Hensoldt magnifier behind a larue LT649, I figure if it goes bad I can get a cheap clone and if the clone fails I can pull it off to the side and engage with my aimpoint ML2 within 2 seconds and if the battery goes out I can quick deatach the aimpoint and use my MI BUIS if the zombies are advancing. Seriously...I want to know what the best clone out there is also. |

Lots of magnifier threads lately so just a sample:

I have the same Philosophy, i went with a clone magnifier as well. The way i look at it a magnifier is for emergencies, if i wanted a dedicated long range optic that's what i would buy. ie: spr 4.5x14 "battle rifle" 1-4 burris xtr cqb: "real" aimpoint with clone magnifier |
