Hi All,
I have a RRA Dominator mount. Does anyone know if a EOtech 557 will fit on it? I emailed RRA and got no response. Thanks in advance! Jan |
| I believe it will "fit" on the Dominator mount, but the question will be is the EoTech then too tall for the iron sights. As I learned from postings on this Board, the 557 is built "taller" by 7 mm, so that it yields a lower 1/3 cowittness when used without a riser, and with a normal back=up sight. If you mount the EoTech to the Dominator, the buis sights may be too low to use properly in the EoTech field of view. Its essentially using the built-in riser of the 557 plus the riser built into the Dominator which may make the whole combo unusable. Don't proceed without checking this, but this was the story that fell out of a similar thread a couple of weeks ago. When I was "accessorizing" an AR, a phone call to the RRA folks was very helpful, and I asked them some pretty dumb questions. |
