| The mount that comes with it puts my flip ups in the bottm 1/3 with the riser and the top 1/3 without it. Does anyone make a mount that might put ithem in the center or a 1/2 riser for the factory mount? Thanks. |

Supposedly it is considered ideal to have a lower 1/3 cowitness. I would suggest LaRue, but it would have been better to purchase the Aimpoint with their mount (optic/mount combo deal).
They have an 'absolute-cowitness' mount. I'm sure others make them too, but you can't beat the LaRue QD! |
| I RUN MY AIMPOINT M4 WITH OUT THE SAPCER FROM THE FACTORY ON MY 16' AND IT HAS THE 12" DANIELS DEFENCE LIGHT RAIL AND TROY FLIP UP SIGHTS BACK AND FRONT AND WHEN THE SIGHTS ARE BOTH UP THEY ARE IN THE CENTER OF THE GLASS. WHEN I HAD THIS ON MY 16" WITH A STANDARD FRONT SIGHT POST DIDN'T WORK AS MY AIMPOINT DOT WAS IN THE FRONT SIGHT POST AND HAD TO PUT THE SPACER BACK IN. |

Per FJB (Aimpoint) the QRP2 mount for the Comp M4 with factory spacer is supposed to give an absolute cowitness on a standard AR-15. Do you have it mounted on a HK416 or a piston upper by any chance? Is just a DD upper receiver with a GG&G flip up front sight bae and a YHM rear flip up. May just be the combo of sights I picked. I will put the spacer in and leave it nearer the bottom I guess. Thanks for the replies. Wish there was a half spacer out. |
