Hey guys,
I built a del-ton 16 inch flattop mid length kit. I've got YHM flip up front and rear BUIS on the rifle currently. I'm looking for a one piece quick release optic mount that will clear the rear sight (folded down of course) with a millet dms1/2 in it.  I've been looking at the larue cantilever models and they look very nice... but ADM recon mounts also look nice, and with dealer (c&r) discount I can score them about 70 bucks cheaper. Anyone have any experience with ADM's mounts? I did a search here and didn't come up with anything.

Oh also I'm looking for a decent non quick release one piece mount for my prairie dog AR. I don't need it super cheap, but  considering it's not for defense just for plinking dogs, it doesn't have to be bullet proof, It just needs to work and hold zero. Anyone have any favorites? I'm thinking about the j&p mount.

Thanks guys!

I have a ADM mount for my ACOG....so far I've been very happy with it!
It's well made and holds zero just fine.

I have close friends that run ADM mounts with no issues at all. They are good quality from what I can see. I run Larue because Mark has supported us (LEO's) from day one, and makes great products. Just remember you get what you pay for in this business

Those that have them here don't talk about them.

You'll see them show up in picture threads, and there are discussions on other forums about them.

So far I did not have any problems with my ADM mount. It was easier to install than the one made by another manufacturer.

I appreciate all of your replys, and I understand that larue seems to be the KING of ar-optics mount. I'm just exploring my options... I'm way more familiar with the AK family (maybe there is just less to learn options wise), and it's taking some adjusting to, price wise at least, for me now that I'm starting to look more into ar stuff. For instance I can pick a up a decent red-dot (either kobra or pk-as are your only real choices with the side rail) mount and all for my ak's for the price you guys pay for the larue mount alone. There are SO many more decent options for ar, it's good thing this forum is so active, because I've got allot to learn

With regards to..

Are you implying there is some sort of stigma associated with adm, or am I reading to much into this?

Thanks guys keep em coming.

There is a reason not many people like to talk about ADM mounts. Try and find a thread that hasn't been locked due to the bickering and BS.

I have one for my millet scope. Works fine. No, I don't toss it off buildings, drag it through the mud or beat the hell out of it or the rifle it is on.
I don't know if the YHM will fit under the millet due to the large diameter. My GGG MAD sight fit under it.

For a fixed mount look at the Armalite. May be hard to find right now but they work well and are reasonably priced.

This site may help.
