Did some searching and came up with one post, but i wanted to confirm that the eotech 511 did not need a mount for an absolute cowitness. true or false? Also will a A2 BUIS sight work properly with an A3 upper? ( i know it should, but questions dont cost $94.00)
thanks

I believe that is true (Eotech will cowitness on it's own) BUT most people like a "lower 3rd" co-witness, meaning the irons are lower in the optic, than being totally in-line with the reticle.  Just a matter of less obstruction of the fov by the iron sights.

Absolute cowitness:

Lower third Cowitness

Yeah, then get a riser for the EOtech.

Lower third really is the way to go ;)
