| I too like my 511. I have had it for at least 2+ years now and replaced the batteries today for the first time. N-size batteries are not difficult to find. Got a deal on the batteries (N-size 1.5v) at Radio Shack - four 2-packs for $10 total. With the setup I have on my carbine the 511 fits perfect. The longer AA sized versions (512) would have been a problem for my particular setup, though they are excellent optics as well. |
| I have one for almost 1 year now, still same batteries. Alot of people badmouth them, battery drains, somehow hard to find batteries? It does have a lower run time but I got it for the size and price. It works great and holds zero. No need to buy a mount for it and its tough. So it wont stay on for 5 years like a aimpoint, no big deal. |

I have one and I like it. The price was right too. I've had it over a year and the batteries went on me at the most opportune time –– in a carbine class when I was sighting it in.
I did buy two sets and had them in my stock and replaced them right away. Like anything, I'd carry extra. The only place I could find them was at RadioShack. |
| Mine will eat the batteries if I leave them in for just a couple of weeks. It gets dimer when moving the reticle to the left side. It is a year old and less then 1k. I'm going to call EoTech and see what they will do. I have an M4s also and like it better. my 2 cents |

There are packages that include the GG&G QD mount as well. I like the 25% off deal! |
