I'm looking for a 3x or 4x magnifier to mount behind a S.P.O.T. red dot on my AR. I'd rather not put a $500 Aimpoint or Eotech magnifier behind a $100 optic, so I'm wondering if there are any less expensive alternatives available.

| I've been thinking about buying one of those myself to go with my ML3. From what I've been reading on here everyone seems to really like that model quite a bit, the only complaint I've seen so far is the mount. I've also looked at the LaRue poor boy and it seems pretty nice (especially the mount) but it looks kind of strange. |

As far as mounting, I think I would mount it in the same type mount that the SPOT is mounted in, this one:
