[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Aimpoint trouble

I am having trouble with an Aimpoint. I emailed the only email address I could find for Aimpoint service, but never got an answer back.

The dot keeps disappearing when I shoot. I can even tap on the sight and have it go out. New batteries make no difference. Any one who works on these? Prefer in Illinois if possible.

Same thing happened to my Aimpoint. I called the number and spoke to John (I don't know if he is still there) and he sent me a RMA. 6 weeks later I had a repaired Aimpoint under warranty - no charge.

your symptoms are the same as mine was. The switch is failing.

Called and talked to John like the board said, and he took care of it. Returned the Aimpoint and got it back in a couple of weeks.

Fixed better than new and back on my M4 ready to go anytime.
