Ok i have a 16" midlength with the detachable carry handle. Ive read every manual i can and they mostly say different things, and im not talking about 8/3 vs 6/3. Some say to rescale the elevation turret and some say you dont need to. Some say to zero at 25m set elevation to "z" and other do not. I want to zero at 25m for a 300yd bsz. My carry handle bottoms out at 6/3 and has the "z" 2 clicks above. Do I need to rescale my elevation? What exactly does this do? I assume it allows for range adjustments below 300yd while using the unmarked ap.

ps. I know most of yall will tell me to use the IBSZ and I am considering it, i just want to straighten this all out.

I think the re-indexing is specifically for the IBZ. If you are just doing the standard 25-meter zero, simply use the z-mark.

Ok, so i do not NEED to rescale? Most manuals say that for an A2 sight you should click down to 8/3 -3 then back up to 8/3 +1. Would this mean i should rescale mine to 6/3 -6 to bottom out? And what is the purpose of this?
