What are the differences between the Aimpoint ML2 and ML3 sights?  Other than the rubber cover, is there anything noticably different between the two?

Battery life (50K vs 10K) and the option of going with the 2MOA dot.

Anyone got pics of their 4moa vs 2 moa?

I was trying to decide between the two sights.  I like the look of the ML2, but i also figure why not get the ML3 since its newer.  So it all comes down to how it looks lol.  If i want the 2 moa dot then ill definatley get the ML3.

Thanks for the speedy replies!

+1 for the battery life on the ML3. Also check out the C3, which is the civilian version of the M3/ML3. It has the same specs except it can only be submerged in a few feet of water as opposed to some ungodly figure for the military sights. It's also available in black as opposed to a stupid silver. On your end, you'd be saving a buttload of money.

+1 on the Comp C3.  SWFA has a sweet deal on the Comp C3 right now $389 for the C3 plus the Aimpoint QRP mount.  The mount usually sells for ~$90.  I feel the sight is just as good.

Same warranty and a 50,000 hr battery life.  Also check out the Live.com 25% dicount by going thru ebay.

I purchased mine from SWFA off ebay and I am getting $117 back in Dec (30% at that time)

I took the ebay deal as well.  I found a new ML3 for $399 ($100 back) and a QRP mount for $85 ($21.25 back), so total cost to me for both was $363.75.
