I've searched, but can find barely any info on US Optics SN4's here.  Doesn't anyone like them/run one?
If not, what's the drawbacks that are keeping people from doing so? USO glass is kick ass in the SN3 and other lines........

I run one (SN-4 slimline) on my FAL.  Have run it for 3-gun matches for the past 4-5 years.  Great glass.  Seems heavy compared to some 1-4x.  Power adjustment requires 180+ degrees, it's heavy but smooth.  Circle-dot reticle is good for close and far targets, but no bullet drop marks.  The illumination is useless in the daytime, and batteries seem to last about 10 minutes.  Adjustment knobs are huge, even on the slimline version.  I can't say much on the adjustments, I set it for a 240-yard zero and forgot about it, good for 0-275ish without thinking about anything.  FOr some reason the USO rings I have do not have the cross bar to engage the Picatinny rails.  I had to rig a block so that the rings don't move on the rifle.  I'm not sure why that is like that, their dedicated base is supposed to be pretty good.

Basically it is a fantastic scope within its limits, but has increasing competition from the likes of Nightforce at the same price, and the IOR and Meopta at a little less.  I have been looking for another 1-4 for a while now.  I tried an IOR but not that happy, eye relief seems not as generous.  I am thinking about the Nightforce 1-4 now, but wish it had a bolder reticle.  This new scope would be on my AR instead of FAL, so I'm more concerned about weight.

Originally I had a basic SN-4 (not slimline) doing the same duty on my FAL.  Same glass but even larger.  The damn adjustment knobs seem to stick out 2" from the scope.  Something came apart inside and there was debris bouncing around.  I sent it back to USO and they replaced it with the brand new slimline version.  Great communication and fixed it without a question.
