[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Matech BUIS length?

Hello,

can someone tell me the length of a Matech BUIS with the site down. I ask because I am debating trying one with my next build, but don't want it to affect (lengthen) the eye relief of my scope.

It will take up about two slots on your upper and extend all the way to the rear of your upper. Skip the MATECH and get a KAC fixed 300m if you feel you need a BUIS and space is tight. There are many better choices than MATECH.

I can get mine to fit under my Leupold MR/T 2.5-8x Illuminated, but it's super-tight.

I'd go with KAC, or the SPLP type (TROY, PRI, MI) if you want that.

I've been using a Troy BUIS and love it, but want to try and save some bread for other builds, so the Matech is a consideration at ~$50-65.00 vs $140.00 for another Troy. Once the price gets up over a hundred, I might as well get another Troy, as that is my preference for the higher end BUIS.
