This may be a stupid questions, but I will give it a go. I am planning on building a M16-A4 clone (ok, it will be an AR-15A4, but you get the idea) I would like to put an ACOG on top of it. My question is, will the standard front sight post get in the way of the ACOG? If it will, that not a problem, I will simply get a low profile gas block, but i would prefer to keep the weapon as close to the a-4 as possible, and keep the block. Can anyone enlighten me on this? You will not see the front sight. At worst there will be slight shadow in the lower part of the display. However, if you're looking at the target it will not be noticed. Oh and be sure to get the LaRue mount for the ACOG - it's far superior than the Trijicon mount. |

The LaRue mount is top notch, but I went with an ARMS mount from the EE that was too good to pass up. When I do see the front sight, its only a "shadow" in the bottom. Heres the reticle shot: (no front sight in view)  And the rifle w/ ACOG: (its now mounted on a single lever ARMS)
