Hey, I was wondering if anyone has put a Wing Mount for the Trijicon Red Dot on their 3.5x35 ACOG.  I must have installed mine incorrectly as I somehow snapped one of the mounting screws in half. Half of the screw is stuck in the lower ring and I think I'm going to have to call Trijicon for a replacement.  Hopefully they won't charge me too much.  I'd like to see a picture of one mounted correctly because I wasn't sure where put the mount exactly.  The instructions didn't have any illustrations and was somewhat ambiguous....at least to me.

No one here has a mini-dot mounted on their TA11? I wonder why.  Guess I'm going to have to call Trijicon for help.

I bought one of  the Trijicon wing mounts to replace the standard, unprotected Docter mount on my TA31DOC but I couldn't get the screws out of the old one. Seems that Trijicon overtightened the screws or used red instead of blue loctite. I couldn't even begin to loosen the tiny allen-head screw before it stripped-out. That's my experience with  the Trijicon wing mount. HTH.

Damn!  And here I was thinking I was the only one that had done that!

It happened when I used the locktite that they had sent with the unit.  It seamed like it sent up in about two minutes.

Called Trijicon and told them what happened.  They said I had to order the underring and new screws since I had broken the screws. Cost was $70.00 plus shipping.

From there on out I used Locktite 242 and never had a problem since.  I have done this on a couple of my RCO's and on my NSNs.

Hope this helps a little.
