Well after a bit of deciding and looking at the old bank account.  I've decided on an ACOG for my 5.56 AR.  I've noticed that they are set up either for 5.56 or .308 rounds.  Will there be one for the 6.8 or are the ballistics of the 5.56 close enough or should I go with an Aimpoint plus 3x magnifier for the 6.8?

I have an ACOG TA31f on my 6.8 upper and the ACOG has the BDC set for 5.56 which is fine when using 90gr. rounds.  If you are going to be using 110, 115 or 120 grain rounds I would suggest an ACOG with the 308 BDC.

ETA: I traded one of my Aimpoints and 3x magnifier for the ACOG.  I am using mine for 3-gun and tactical matches as I mounted a Docter mini red-dot on top of the ACOG.

How do you like the ACOG compared to the Aimpoint?
