I just took the scope off of my AR, and I am now using the iron sights for the first time.  I am using a A.R.M.S low profile rear sight, what part of the circle I am supposed to line up with the front sight?  Is the top of the circle supposed to line up with the top of the front sight?  The last iron sights I have used were the old BB gun style, which are easy to line up.  please help.

What is absolutely critical is that the front sight post be aligned with the target and that your eyes are focussed on the front sight (not the target, not the rear sight).  You want a repeatable alignment of the front post with the rear aperture but, given that the rear aperture is entirely out of focus.  Some people use the "wings" of the front sight to gage alignmnt with the back sight.  This works, sort of.  I do what most people do, just like TacticsFirst posted, let your brain align the top of the front sight post with the center of the circle.

Center the tip of the front sight post vertically and horizontally in the rear sight aperture.
Imagine a horizontal line drawn through the center of the rear sight aperture. The top of the front sight post will appear to touch this line.
Imagine a vertical line drawn through the center of the rear sight aperture. The line will appear to bisect the front sight post.
