I have one and have used it alittle but am very pleased, I have a 200 yard zero so on the close stuff, just put the center of the cheveron on the target but since it has a good point i can get good accuracy with it. My 300 yard hold over is basicly box in the target. On the illumination, I just leave the cap off and it works fine..always bright enough.  I do think its the best red dot.

Its a nice sight, but consider these three things:
1) tritium illumination is for NV use, not bright enough for nighttime use otherwise
2) battery life is poor
3) expensive

I almost bought it but passed on it.  retical can wash out in certain conditions from what I have read.  if you have to use the batteries the life is crap. If you really read about tridium it can causes blooming under night vision so if you ever want to really used NV you usually order one without that(most poeple won't use NV though). If you read the tripower manual it states this right in there.

I came to the conclustion that aimpont was a better option IMO.  that being said I never bought the tri power just looked at them.  all my research lead me to belive that it was not durable as an acog.  still has some battery dependancy in some lighting situations.

that being said eotech, aimpoint, or a tripower will still send rounds down range accurately. I just think aimpoint has there shit a little more together.  simple, durable, always on.

try to get you hands on them if you can.  I really thought I would like an eotech or tripower more until I tried an aimpoint.  I never really even considered one till I got to handle them. I was really depating between eotech 512 and the tripower. Now other people might be different though.  there all pretty nice but at new price the tripower is just overpriced IMO.
