i just recieved my ta31 w/ the red crosshair, in a dark room[little to no light] are u guys seeing the reticle lit like in daylight? not sure if its me but i dont see the reticle, spoke to tri they told me i should see the ret in the dark.  is the acog fd up or is it just me?  

 i even tried going into a dark room & let my eyes adjust for a few minutes it just doesnt seem to light up, like the amber acog that is saw at a lgs in the dark.


  your thoughts please this is driving me crazy thanks.

The tritium should be providing illumination in total darkness, but it won't be anything like what you see in daylight.

It should not be as bright as it is in daylight.  If it was too bright at night, it would make it harder to see your target.

yes but should i be able to see the reticle, i know it wiil not look like it does in bright daylight but for some reason i am not seing much of anything in complete darkness maybe i am doing something wrong.http://

The brightness is set assuming you have your full night vision.  This could take up to 30 minutes before the reticle will appear at full brightness.  You should wait at least 5 minutes before you judge it against its daytime brightness.

Not a TA01, but here's day/night with my TA31F:





ETA:  That night picture is being (somewhat) illuminated by my security light (think streetlight), so it's not really "dark" dark.  I'm pretty sure the fiber optic is picking up some light, making the reticle seems brighter than it really would be on a dark night.
