i just bought the ta31 ecos for $1440 good buy or not, also can anyone who owns 1 comment on this acog compared 2 other set ups. thanks i am mounting this on a bushy 20" will be used for range & SHTF. |
First let me ask a few questions
Did you shop around and do price research?
Did you shop around and do product comparison research? I only ask because if someone here found one for hundreds of $'s less you may be disappointed. And if you shopped around and looked at other optics you undoubtedly felt it met your needs before outlaying that amount of cash. Is it an outstanding product. Yes (personal opinion) Does it meet my needs. No (personal opinion) Some here prefer the TA-11 due to its different field of view and different eye relief. Is it the latest wiz bang cool must have gadget from Trijicon. Yes (you did not waste your money) In truth a wide variety of optics are out there many of which can and will meet your needs what ever they are. Be happy with your decision and do not second guess it until you have had a good amount of time shooting your weapon while using your new optic. That ultimately will determine your satisfaction with your purchase. And I would only quote you verbatim what is on the Trijicon website with regard to product differences so I would just direct you there. |

thanks for the fast response USMC , as a noobie i am just looking for some feedback on this model good or bad. i think this covers my need since where i live the farthest i will be shooting is 300 yds local. any other scope thats cheeper with the comparable features as the ta31 ecos? i was also looking at the night foce 2.5-10 ? |

Seems like a line of questioning that should have been asked prior to a purchase. The quality of your new setup is top of the line. Yes, the Nightforce scope you asked about is also top of the line. Being the owner of two ACOGs, I would definitely have purchased the 1-4x Nightforce, because I think it would suit me a little better being adjustable, and also to try something different from what I already own. Quit second guessing yourself or fishing for kudos or whatever it is you're doing. Just go out and get a lot of time behind that optic setup. If you find you like it, fantastic; your approval is the only one neccessary on this topic anyway. If you find yourself not liking it very much, sell/trade it for something else. |
