I have two bushmasters, one a 20 inch and the other a 16 inch.  Both were zeroed at 25 meters for the 300 meter battle setting.  The one thing I noticed however is that when I zeroed the 16 inch one the level part of the front sight was still within the threaded hole.  The 20 inch one however now has the level part of the front sight slightly out of the hole with light showing through.  So my question is that is this normal for a 20 inch A-4 type AR.

It is a different sight radius.
What type (A2, A3) receivers are they?

Fortunately, there's a simple fix for your problem, the Bushmaster .040" taller front sight post.
