I was wondering if it were at all possible to purchase a ACOG TA31TRD Scope with out the red dot. I've noticed that the only way to get the illuminated fiber optic reticles is to get it with a DOC.

I'm talking about the .223 Red Crosshair BAC

closest thing I could find are the TA50R4 or the TA39R4 but you lose a little magnification with both buth they are significantly cheaper. I would go ahead and buy the TA31TRD and then sell the Trijicon red dot.

It's stupid that they won't sell this body separate of the dot. If i were to go ahead and the buy it with the dot and try to sell it there is no way i will get my money back. I'm probably going to at least take a 20 to 50 dollar hit. I wish it was easier. I'm going to email trijicon with my gripe. Thanks for the help though.

Just an FYI, the TA50R-4 and TA39R-4 reticles doesn't have the BDC ranging stadia lines. The TA50 has the least amount of eye relief.

Doesn't the TA31 RCO have the crosshairs?

ETA nevermind, just checked.  It has stadia and ranging but it's a chevron reticle.
