I am looking to buy a new ACOG for rabbit & small game hunting, I won't have a stand so I need something like an ACOG for quick sighting, so my question is...  Are they worth all that money?  Which one would be best for that type of thing.. Thanks!!

Welcome to the board.

Yes they are,
(actually if you have to ask you really need to use the search function and read up some, many of your questions will be answered because they have probably all been answered before)

Which model?  Again you have to determine that yourself, there are literly thousands of reviews on here.
For your application? Id say TAO1 or TAO1NSN because the have a fine cross hair ret.

Real speed though would come with the TA31 series or TA11.

I have 3 TA31RCO's and 1 TA11. I prefer Chevron rets that are red illuminated during the day. I also prefer the TA31 4x ACOGs to the 3.5X TA11's. Many people are the opposite because of the eye relief between the 2 models, I dont see it as a problem I think its a non issue, to me there is plenty of ER in the 4x's and I prefer the extra 1/2x, there is a difference.

like I said read up some and view the multiple threads on reticals.

I was hesitant to spend the money for an acog until I got to look thru one. I bought a TA01 model for my AR..best money spent on it excect for the the match grade trigger.
Optics are very clear, lightweight and easy to install. BDC works as it should, have made good groups from 50 yards to 400 yards.
Plus the crosshairs for night use are great.

Here is a picture of mine:

Night picture. Aiming at headlight on car 100 yards away, street light blured in background farther up the street. Time picture was takes was around 11 pm. The real sight is a lot cleaner as the camera I was using wasn't up to the task for night shots.

The ACOG's are one of the best sights on the market.  Worth every penny IMO.  The TA01 series would be excellent for precision as it has the fine cross hair, but it still has the ranging reticule for distance work.  the TA31 is also excellent because it has the glowing red cheveron for quick target acquisition and the ranging reticule.  The TA31 is a little bit faster than the TA01 for quick moving shots, as the fine cross hair can be lost in the brush.  I have both and I prefer to use the TA31.
