Does anyone have any info or opinions on the Famous Maker scopes? I'm looking at the FMT1040 scope for my AR15. I've looked through a FMT832 and it looked pretty good. MUCH better than the ATN 4-12x I have on it now. I DON'T like the ATN; at full 12x zoom it's almost impossible to focus on the target at 50yds, it has no focus adjustment, and I had noticed that as you zoom in, the reticle doesn't seem to stay centered.

Anyway, I want something with more zoom, focus adjustment, paralax adjustment and an illuminated reticle. Out of those, the MOST important is adjustable focus. The FMT1040 fits all the criteria, and I can get one for between $220 and $250, which is the area I want to spend. But How's their quality?

Thanks

Famous Maker is another Chinese scope brand.  I'm not familiar with them, except to know they used to make bottom-feeder stuff, and I'm a bit surprised at the price of that one.

The quality of Chinese optics is improving steadily, but I wouldn't want to be a guinea pig for a $200+ scope.  I'd look for one with an already known reputation.
