My question is, which scope would be better? I like the Bushnell because it's 6x (4.5-30x). However, someone else suggested that the Nikon will probably be better quality. The two are: Bushnell EliteĀ® 6500 4.5-30x50mm Nikon Monarch X Riflescope 2.5-10x44mm ------ Any comments on these? Should I consider a different scope altogether? Thanks! |

That Bushnell's not released yet, is it? I'd wait for reviews before spending that kind of money on a brand new Bushnell design. They have a decent reputation for their higher-end stuff, but I'm always nervous about new, fairly expensive products. Also, 30x is a nearly unusable magnification unless you're doing serious long-range shooting. Most variable scopes with that range in that price range are going to be having some darkness and eye relief issues zoomed that far out. I'd go for the Monarch, personally, but that's just me. As far as other scopes, it depends on what your uses will be. The Nikon's a pretty good general purpose range of magnifications for an AR. |
