What rings /mount would work with this scope on a flattop ar? I like the idea of the Burris signature series with their offset inserts, but will their Weaver mounts work on an Ar?

Generally, Weaver gear works fine on the Picatinny rails on the AR.  Weaver slots are usually narrower and have a different spacing, but there's no real Weaver spec, so it can vary a lot.

ARs need the scopes mounted very high (1.3-1.5" centerline) compared to traditional rifles, and often need the scope mounted further forward than you can get with just rings.

If you need more eye relief than you can get with straight rings, you can use an extended rail with medium or high rings, or a one-piece mount, which will give it both height and forward eye relief (depending on the mount).

If you want to mount a BUIS under the scope, you'll need a higher mount to clear it.

Here's the Big List of one-piece mounts:

HC, i went with the Yankee Hill Machine 1/2" high by 5" long riser along with QD Warne high rings for my Bushnell 4200 scope. This setup gets the scope centerline 1.5" above the flat top to clear my low profile ARMS 40L BUIS as well as far enough forward for good eye relief. I loctited the riser screws for security and the scope quick detaches if I want to use the BUIS. All depends on what your needs are. Good luck.
