Im look at a SN4 and an NXS 1-4 for mounting on my CQB MRP. Is there any input anyone could give me on either of these scopes or companies. All of my scopes so far are Leupold MK4, and I was impressed by the glass on both of these.

In my opinion the build quality on USO scopes is second to none.  You could drive the proverbial nail with them.

My dealings with them as a company have also always been friendly and efficient.

YMMV

I am in 100% agreement.

US Optics all the way, I have the SN3 1.8 to 10X on my 22-250 and it is by far the best scope I have ever owned or looked thru. The only problem is once you buy one you won't be able to look at anything else. I guess that's OK!!!

I agree I have the sn3 tpal 3-17x and, all I can say is "WOW"  Nothing else even comes close, maybe a S&B but then its just preference then.  I think you will be happy with either, but like some people said you will buy one then want another.  Not to mention they are built here in the U.S. by Americans, owned by an American owner.  U.S. Optics has some of the best customer service, hands down.  You can also pretty much order anything on a scope that is an option because they are all custom built for the end user.  Hope this helps.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the US Optic SN4 does not offer an illuminated reticle whereas the Nightforce NXS 1-4 does.  That may or may not be important to you but it seems like the illuminated reticle would be useful at 1x for CQB

Like I said...I could be wrong.   Do you have a link to info on the illuminated reticles available for the 1-4x models?  If they are illuminated I would add them back to the list of contenders.  I was going by what the US Optics website offered "Lit Reticle: No":

SN4 - www.usoptics.com/product.php?partnumber=SN4-100

or

SN4S - www.usoptics.com/product.php?partnumber=SN4-400

^^ It is listed as an option when you click "options and upgrades."  They offer green or red illumination.

It is easier to click on the "configure or quote" button.   It will direct you to a page where you can add options to the base model SN4.

One other note of interest, and correct ME if I'm wrong, but I don't believe either the USO or Nightforce illuminated reticles are daylight visible.  I own an SN3 and mine is definitely not daylight visible.

I think you're right, I have two SN3s and used to have two SN4s, the lit reticle doesn't serve much purpose during the day, it's more old fashioned in that it's for low light conditions, unlike the newer breed of scopes that have reticles that are bright even in full sun light to help the user to pick it up faster.

THE NIGHTFORCE 1-4 NXS IS ONE HELL OF A FINE SCOPE. IT ONLY WEIGHS 17 OZ, TOO.

5TH GROUP ASSAULTERS ARE USING THIS SCOPE ON THEIR URBAN SPIPER RIGS.

GOOD SHOOTING,
