I was looking though their website and the reticles are pretty interesting.

To me it looks like the tactical 4x24 models are just weaver base style POSP scopes. Is this correct? Obviously they are a little bit better quality then the POSP counterparts.

Anyone have any experience with these sights?

The IOR M2’s are nice scopes for the price and what you get.  Our customers that have gotten them seem to be happy with them.  I have used them also and was pleased with them.

I am glad that somebody asked about the scope because I'm curious about myself.

I'm assuming this is a fixed 4x. correct?

How is it for a CQB optic?

Is it good to go for close range?

It is fixed 4x.

4x is not really a CQ scope.

They are not "a litle bit better" they are about as far apart in quality as you can get.  The glass alone is at opposite ends of the spectrum.  IOR galss is better than Leupold IMO as it is Schott Geerman glass.  It is equivalent to the expensive European glass out there or something like NightForce.

I keep telling people about the clarity and brightness of the IOR scopes, but they don't seem to believe it.

It is just something you have to see for yourself.

IOR makes scopes with very high quality glass and they are very durable.  If they produced reticles I liked better I would own them.  I may try one of the hunting scopes for a squirrel rifle or some other application where a fine reticle would be more suitable.

I have one, the glass is good, but... Mine was used, no manual.  How the @$^#% do you zero this thing?  In order to be on paper at 100, I have to be at the 500 yard mark.

Also, in the MP-9 reticle the dot is not contacted by the cross hairs and is very fine.  This is probably okay in a tactical scope, but is not good for precise aim at say moa dots at 100 yds.

i have the 2.5 x 10 with the mp-8 reticle on my 300WM PSS.  great reticle, tough as nails, quality glass, couldn't be happier.

I'll do a review when I get my pair in and put them on my Middy AR's.  I'm adding some rifle length rails as well, so might be a week or so before I can cut the FSB, paint it and install the rifle length rails plus get to the range.  I'll take a lot of pictures.

If you are getting any, order from Mike @ CSGW.  Smooth transaction and great pricing.

Usable though.  ACOG's are very common, and most are 4x fixed.  If need be crank up the brightness, close the front lense cover and you have a OEG optic.

I had an IOR 2.5 - 10 x 42 scope with MP8 reticle that gave me eye strain like a bad pair of glasses, and I wear glasses. I really wanted to like it but sold it. In side-by-side comparisions, my Leupold Vari-X III was natural and clear with no eye strain.

I have compared them to Leupolds side by side. The Leupolds have better glass.

The whole "they use Schott glass which is superior" is just a sales pitch.

Many high end European optics companies now use Japanese glass as was reported by Gale McMillan before he passed away.

There have also been posts about lots of problems getting warranty work done on IOR scopes.

At the prices IOR scopes sell for I think you can do better.

You have to loosen the top 2 screws to sight in the scope.  I would be best to call IOR to get a set of direction.  If you need there phone number just let me know or if you have a Fax # IM or PM me and I will send you a faxed copy.
