just bought this TA31



see the crescent to the right?   it works perfect when you look through the scope up close but from far away it looks like this? is it normal?

as said above...1.5" eye relief.

To answer your next question; On all ACOGs, the reticle is slightly blurry on the far right (part of the design).

Eye relief is it.  They take some getitng use to but once you are comfortable w/ the BAC and how it operates the true design shines.  Great optic.  Mine took a few mountings to get it right where it was comfortable.

ACOG's use prisms. That is why.


When you have normal eye relief in a normal shooting position, you shouldn't see that. If you don't see that, then there is no problem.


If you are trying to sight through it a foot away, that's not how it's suppose to be used.

Yeah, I really didn't need to see that.  But I laughed a whole bunch.  My wife just thinks it's a rag.  I think she was hopin...  LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

My TA31 does the same thing. Looks like internal reflections.

If you hold it right and far enough back you see 2 holes and the crescent.
