I know best and cheap do not go together, but I have heard good things of the fixed 10x Bushnell elite 3200, but I want mine for target shooting and predator hunting and a 10x will be awfully hard to follow the coyotes. So what do you recommend?

The Sightron S1 3X9X40 is'nt to bad, about $115.00. I've had a couple mounted on Steven's 308 and 300WM for awhile now. About 500 rounds through the 308. Not many through the 300 as it beats me up pretty good and I'll have to put a real pad on it. Scopes are fine though, hold zero and track excellent.

The 3200 if you shop around is a better deal at $170.00. It has has plenty of adjustment and better turret knobs. I have a couple of these also and there on AR15's so theres no recoil to speak of

These are about the cheapest reputable mil dot scopes I know of. Then the next step would probably be Nikon Buckmaster with side focus. Why Nikon does not offer a mil dot reticle in the 3x9 Buckmaster is beside me as it has nice turrets and and about 80moa adjustment and would be well suited to the reticle.

I'd really like to see a few scopes with reticles like Valdora's MP-8 with the half mil hash marks. I see Falcon/Merlin offers an MP-20 wich looks very close. Also I see Millet has the half mil mark's in there tactical.

Which scope are you speaking of? The only 3200 I have seen with mil dot and the turret knobs is the 10x?
Thanks

yep. the fixed 10x power. I believe they have over 80 moa. adjustment. They have very nice turrets with a top center screw w/splinned shaft instead of the cheap 3 set screws through the side of the knob. Far easier to reset back to zero after you've sighted it in.

I've still seen them priced at $169.00 w/free shipping at places on the web. Bushnell came out with a 5x15 model of this scope also but, I'm sure it does'nt have near as much adjustment as the fixed power 10x.

I've had good luck with Mueller.
