| I have an ARMS 40L SP BUIS and the small aperture is offset to oneside vs the larger aperture. The windage adjustment is able 6 clicks different between the two apertures as a result. Anyone else have this problem? |
they are aligned and i explained why. the apatures are threaded on a rod. when you move the sight from the large apature to the small apature, it spins on the threads, and the entire sight moves. to keep the smaller apateure correctly zeroed after this move, it is off center. edit: here is a thread i posted in before when i first learned about it www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=350539 |
ah, looking at pics it seems the smaller apature is directly connected to the larger apature on its own flip up axis and as such doesnt spin. never noticed that before. i was wrong, sorry. |
| The smaller aperature is not threaded, only the larger one is. the smaller one does not move left or right when it's rotated out of the way. I will call ARMS on Monday. Unfortunately, Ive had the sight for quite a while and just not noticed it. Always fired it with the smaller aperture until recently. It's pretty obvious when you just look at the aperatures that they aren't concentric. Hopefully they'll fix it for me. |
My 40L has the same defect. And yes, I am calling it a defect. The holes do not line up horizontal wise. Something is wrong with their QC or machining. I'm in the process of returning my 40L right now. This is a $110 sight and it should function perfect out of the box. I hope it goes smoothly. |
