What are your opinions on them? Quality? I know a Acog or Eotec would be much better but I cant afford a $300-$900 sight. I have seen Barska before but want to know the quality before I seriously look into making a purchase.

There are some good scopes for under $ 300. I like the Bushnell 3200 scopes. What power scope are you looking for and what do you want to use it for.

edit based only on what I read here I might be willing to gamble on a SPOT red dot. They run around $ 150ish. I bought a used bushnell, which is an eotech, for a $ 100 and change a few years ago. I also have a Simmons 1-4x shotgun scope that I got for under $ 200. A lot of three gun guys use that simmons scope

I've never owned a Barska, I wasn't impressed with the ones I saw.

Well I am just looking for something besides my BUIS. Something for the range for fast target identification. This is what I was looking at.

I have one of those.

It's OK...It's best feature is: it sorta looks like an ACOG. A $150.00 SPOT red dot is a better "low cost" alternative.

YMMV

I could swear I found it for $ 150 somewhere recently. A bunch of places all have the $ 165 price, I bet if you call around you can find it a little cheaper, list prices on the net are some times fixed.

How about here for $149:

www.mgimilitary.com/SPOT_Mark3_Scope.htm

The ones at mountsplus.com are 3moa and 6moa. The one listed at the site above claims 4moa.

I'd be interested to find a manufacturers homepage to see if they actually do come in 3, 4 and 6 moa.

If you click on the "Online store" thing it rings up as $165.  Wonder if they would honor the $149 price?

I tried a couple of Barska optical products from Sportsman's Guide.  I was not pleased with either.

One (a rifle scope) I sent back to Sportsman's Guide because one of the lenses had what I can only describe as a "bubble" in it.  I ended up "eating" about $20 in shipping on that deal.  Sportsman's Guide would not credit me for the shipping even though the product was defective.  I did not want a replacement.  I'm guessing Sportsman's Guide sold it to someone else.

The other product (a monocular) I kept.  The images are OK, but they're a little "murky."  The rubber cladding covering the optic, too, is pealing away.

Based on my limited experience, I would not recommend any of the Barska products.

I just bought a Barska Euro 30 1.25-4 X 26 from sportsman guide.  I'm impressed with the quality that I've seen for the price.  It isn't a 200 dollar scope by no means but it is better than other brands in the same price range.

I have no regrets on my purchase.
