| I saw one the other day but did not really look at it. It was about $150 and I guess it is made special for .223 ballistics by BSA. Does anyone know anything about these? Would it make a decent "not break the bank" scope? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks |

If you have a local Gander Mountain go there and compare BSA optics to others. See if the optical clarity is acceptable for your purpose. I am done with "cheap" scopes (Tasco, BSA, Leapers, Etc.) I have used high-end glass in the past. If you have ever gotten used to using high end optics and try to use low end stuff it will make you mad. |

DO NOT GET BSA OR TASCO!!! This is from my experience and quite a few of my buddies. At least, get a higher end Simmons Aetec or one of the Bushnell Elites. I have tried these out and they are very good quality scopes. Not like Leupold or some of the other high ends, but not too bad for the money. Again, do not buy the el cheapo's. In the end, they end up costing you more! The clarity isn't there and the quality isn't there! |

BSA: Been Screwed Again. Seriously, I purchased one of their Catseye 1.5-4.5X "shotgun" scopes a few years ago for a Ruger 10/22. After a few hundred rounds, my accuracy went to hell. All the mounts and screws were tight, quality ammo, tried it on another rifle of known accuracy, still shot like hell. If a scope can't take the recoil of a .22LR, I won't touch it. |

I'm going to get this when I get my tax refund. The AR is all set, and I have my 1" armalite mount from their sale sitting in my safe saying.. "put it in me" |
