I notice that with an EoTech, the rifle will shoot wherever the circle is, even if it is not centered in the scope view (at least that's what the literature say). However, is the same true of an Aimpoint? I just got a Comp ML3 and notice that the way I hold my head, the dot and the front sight are not lined up. The dot is to the right. So, do I need to adjust my cheekweld so that the dot is right above the front sight? Thanks!

As far as I know, as long as your optic is zeroed, wherever you see the dot is where your rounds will impact.  I have an Aimpoint right now and I can look through it at different angles and still see the dot.  I have mine zeroed at 25m.

With either sight, where ever the dot is the round goes. They don't have to align with the irons. It's an odd concept to wrap your head around at first but it's that simple.

Thank you, gentlemen. And, yes, Matt, it is really odd to see the dot off to one side of the sight and think I'm going to still hit what I'm aiming at!  Eerie! It will take some getting used to! Thanks, again.
