The Aimpoint’s we have do not say Aimpoint on both the side and the bottom. Side Bottom shot I say fake! It just kills me. Why doesn't Aimpoint enforce it's trademark? Why can someone in China import such an obvious infringement? "Aimpoint" is, arguably, descriptive but surely it has acquired secondary meaning by now. |
Let's take off the rose colored glasses for a better look. From the listing: "AIMPOINT COMP M2 TYPE RED DOT blablabla" "RED/GREEN RETICLE" "NOT MADE BY AIMPOINT" Is it a fake? Absolutely not. You are getting exactly what the auction describes, a "type" of scope "not made by Aimpoint". Why is it cheap? Because it's made in Chi-Com for about $2 with inexpensive lead China is famous for. Is it a good deal? Yes. You get a fine, light duty scope for only $130. This might be all you need. Also consider that you can get a real, but older model Aimpoint for ~$200. Just keep your eyes open and be patient. |
