| So I recently found that my Eotech 552 is dead. I opened it up to change the batteries and found some very slight leakage. I cleaned it up with a 50/50 water vinegar mix. In the battery compartment There is one rubber gasket with a spring and on the other side just a flat metal plate. Somehow I remember there should be two rubber gaskets with springs on each side of the battery compartment but I could be wrong. The two contacts on the eotech itself have been cleaned up and push in and spring back out just fine. I checked Eotechs repair and followed some of the directions but no luck. Are there any tricks or things I can try, or is it a "send back to eotech" type of issue. |
