Ok I purchased one of these on the EE. guy said it was a bushmaster. Looks like a DPMS .Has a heavy cast mark inside the handle area and has a BK cast in the handle right side infront of the sight. Is it or is it not a Bushy ?Does not look like the one on Bushmasters site. Did I just pay too much for a Knockoff? Please advise. Thanks

Checked the handle off a BM carbine I bought nib from a retailer.  It has an ugly forging/casting splitline all the way around the inner contour of the handle, but as the letters "A 1" on the LHS in front of sight.  Nothing on RHS. The finish (annodize or whatever) is also sub-par, nothng like that of the 6920 I just got.

I have had Colt carry handles that even had that nasty looking forging line on it. I would bet yours is as it was advertised.

Yes I'm starting to think so. It would be nice if each Co. would mark stuff with their logo or name.

I was under the impression that Bushmaster handles had the cardinal forge mark...
At least the last one I bought and sold had that. Perhaps they source from different places.

I had one from Bushmaster a while back and it was not cardinal forged, and I had one from Colt as well and it was cardinal forged. I have a Colt now that is Anchor Harvey with a B marked. I dont think that forgeing codes are a good way to tell myself. As much as people say that "only Colt uses this or that" I think most everybody uses the same forge sources.
