Right now, I've got an AR that's basically an M16A2 clone.  A2 sights, chrome bore, all that stuff.  The problem is that I shoot pretty badly with it.  The big aperature is really big, and I think the small one is too big too.  I'm debating either scoping it, or changing the aperature and front post over to a National Match style, hopefully to give me a finer and more precise sight picture.  Even if I don't fight it and just assume a natural sight picture, it's still got plenty of room for error, and the target shows it.  If I scoped it, I'd have to get a carry handle mount, and I'm kind of leery about those.  I also wouldn't be able to afford a really good scope.  Chinese glass is about all I can swing.  I like that Leaper's 4x old Colt style, but it is Chinese glass.  Here it is: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=744830&t=11082005

What do you think I should do, considering my budget?

Link up with a local Service Rifle shooter and start going to matches.  Start shooting Highpower with that bad boy, and that will get you better in a hurry.

The single most important accuracy upgrade that you could spend money on is a new match-grade trigger.
