In the past, I didn't take the 1.5x ACOGs seriously.  However, now I'm considering them as a replacement for 1x red dot sights that can become difficult to use in certain conditions due to astigmatism.  They don't seem to be that popular, since I've been unable to locate any discussion about them.  Anyone care to share their experience with them?

I feel the 1.5X and 2X are the best ACOG's for CQB use.  I use a 2X, amber triangle and my coworker uses the 1.5X, amber triangle and they are excellent.  Fast, excellent eye relief and just enough magnification to be useful.

I got to mess with a TA44-2 and its a cool little rig. For CQB I would think it would be pretty damn useful and no batteries or on off to ever worry about

I run a 1.5 amber triangle in a Larue compact acog mount on my suppressed 9mm. I love it. Great eye relief, large FOV, and crystal clear glass. I prefer it to all of the full size Acogs that I have owned. Mine replaced my Eotech also.
