I know what y'all say about volunteers, but... I'd really appreciate it if somebody here took a Mueller scope through its paces. They're a little unusual since they don't advertise to save costs, and they are a bargain. The rimfire folks I hang with are pretty sold on them. I installed a Mueller APV 4.5–14×40 AO on my 10/22 and it is one heck of a scope. I'd call them "near Leupold" quality for about half the price. IMHO, they're certainly better scopes than some big vendors'. They have a tactical line and I'd love to have somebody that knows what they're doing take one through the ringer. Besides, Mueller is a sponser at www.rimfirecentral.com. Maybe they'll help out here, too. |

I have the Mueller 4-16x50, and it's fine at lower mags, but the view gets dark and the eye relief gets really tight at high mags. I rarely use it past 10x. It's got some chromatic aberration, too, but most inexpensive to midrange scopes have that. It's a good scope for the money. You'll get better glass in a bottom-end Leupold or Burris, but not as many features. It sounds like the newer scopes like the APV have better glass, but I don't have one to compare. Here's a review and reticle pics I posted over at calguns: www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=47658&highlight=mueller |

I bought a Mueller 8-25x Eradicator. It is a very good scope for the money. After receiving it I looked at some low end Leupolds and I felt the Mueller was comaprable in clarity. The only drawback I see with this particular scope is the size, it is huge but other than that I have been happy with the purchase. Also, a link on Mueller's sight has BDC turrests for some of the Mueller scopes. They can make the turrets for just about any caliber or if you have click values for a custom load they can do that also. Dolomite |
