| Anybody tried any of these? I know the optics are not near as good as the Zeiss 3x9 I currently have on my flat top, but I like the compactness and was thinking of trying one. Not intended for any combat type situations. |

I looked into them in the past since they seem a nice option. The down side is there is a cost you pay to have a compact scope, eye relief is very critical and requires you to be within a very limited range to get a visual. If you look over on SWFA forums you can read the reviews and all state the same problems. That explains why not many of them are out there by other companies. |

Hey! I have Burris 3x9 and 4x12 Compacts and I use them with a B-Square wing nut mounts on A2's with pretty good success. I use them for working up match loads right now. I believe these are similar scopes to your short magnum scope. I want to put the 4 x 12 on a A3 flattop and I'm looking at the Armalite mount/rings that gets the scope a little further forward on the reciever. The long eye relief of these scopes is not an issue for me. Von Lettow |

Just to clarify, when looking into them it was only the new short mag line that was showing critical eye relief issues. Older compact models and designs users wish they could still get their hands on them. I am going with an older model which I am able to find in stock it looks like. Have it on order. It is a 1.75-5x24 for under $200 new. Hoping just hoping it is a for sure thing. Not exactly the same as what you are looking for but this is going on a CQB setup I have. It is an older fullfield 2 they no longer offer. |
