I need the caps that go on the windage/elevation controls of a Aimpoint 7000SC. I am attempted to call Aimpoint, but their Customer Service is crap. And after 3 calls today, ranging from morning, noon and evening no one has even ANSWERED THE PHONE in customer service and nobody at Aimpoint will help me. Kinda makes me wanna sell it and get an Eotech.

I’ve never called Aimpoint CS, but I did email them once. My response was practically immediate. There’s probably a good reason no one is answering the phone. Shit happens. I’d try calling again in the morning.

No reason to “bash” Aimpoint. We hear complaints about EOTech CS as well.

A few weeks ago I called my trash company for a large item pickup.... they patched me to the driver's cell to explain it to him.

One of the largest and most known optic companies cannot get 1 single person to talk to me about ordering caps? I can't see that.....

Maybe a dealer here could order them? I am going to call a local shop tomorrow, maybe they can order them.

I was hoping someone here would know a website or dealer that sells them.

In this day and age of the internet and cell phones one thing slowly disappearing is......."patience".

pa·tience [páysh’ns]
n
1.  capacity for waiting: the ability to endure waiting or delay without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties.

ETA:

So if you can’t get through on the phone, what makes you think a Aimpoint dealer can? With Aimpoints main office in Sweden, and the location here in the States being a Sales Office, I can’t imagine them having a very large CS staff. Again, probably a very good explanation why no one is answering the phone.

From looking at the diagram on the Aimpoint site, it appears that the 7000SC uses the same cover as the CompM2.  If this is true, then it should be easy to find them from Aimpoint.

FWIW, if you can not find the cover to your sight, it is hardly an emergency for Aimpoint.  Relax, you are not going to Iraq in the morning.

Well, my dept has had quite a few shootings as of late.... and I won't pass inspection without the caps. So I am not being 100% unreasonable. If I go without the optic I will have to wait untill the next qual to add it to the rifle.

Aaahh, so there is more to the story that meets the eye.  As there is a "need" I do understand more than if you were some couch potato commando that was just busting at the seams to get caps cause he ran out of chips and it was on his mind.

With that in mind a e-mail or call and leave a message with Aimpoint.

Well, I got it resolved today. None of my messages/or 1 email were returned, but I did  talk the nice lady that anwers the phone to patch me through to someone that will ACTUALLY anwser.

Which he did, caps and flip-up lense covers are in the mail free of charge.

End of story, IFFFF you can ever talk to someone at Aimpoint, their CS seems to be speedy and very friendly, the trick is getting someone's attention.
