Hello all, Ive posted on a couple other threads as well so sorry if this is repeatative.  I completed my build an 18' WOA barreld SPR Bushmaster w/ LaRue 13.2 Freefloat Handrail and Vltor flash hider.  I mounted a Leupold Mark 4  MR/T M3 3x9 scope using the LaRue SPR 1.5 mount on the receiver. After a quick boresighting i went to the range and shot a nice 1inch group at 100yrds.  Problem though is it was approx 8-10 inches high.  I attempted to dial down for the correction but my Mark 4 has no more available move ment for the correction.

What do I do?

Shiming is not an option due to my using a throw lever mount.  Everything is properly tourqued to spec  40lbs on the barrel and 15in lbs on the rings.  The rings have ample room and do not touch the obj bell.  The flash hider is tightened a little more then hand tight w/ loc-tite. And if it help even the Iron sights are way off, like 3 ft High.  Im confused.

Do all Mark 4's that use a BDC method have the reticle/erector tube start at the bottom with no room for inital set up.  I though most scope give you ample MOA adjustments up or down and start somewhere in the middle.

A possible condition to check. Look at the top rail edge in relation to the matching rail edge on the receiver with the scope mount removed. Are they in alignment or do they diverge?  It sounds like the front of the receiver is not square and the barrel and forend are tilted. If this is the case you will need to take it apart and face the receiver to square it up to the rest of the receiver.

Hope this helps...

Which ammo?  If it is M855 then M193 should shoot about 2 inches lower at that range.
Suggestons.  Zero at 25 meters, that will put you right on at 250 meters.  Then use the first mildot up for 100 meters.  You will be in the kill box for a human or animal body.
Test several weights of bullets and go with the one that gets you where you want to be.
I hate to say it, but take it off the LaRue mount and put it on Burris or Leupold medium Tactical mounts.  It won't come on and off as easilly but it should take care of your particular problem.

Nice rig!

Did you remove the BDC cap before adjusting elevation? A small tab underneath will keep it from turning lower than '0'. Both elevation and windage dials should come centered from the factory with plenty of room for adjustment.

Gregw45 is right!  The Leupold M2 and M3 have tab on the scope and a ball detent on the turret it self.  This is what makes the Leupold M2 and M3 have a zero stop.

How to solve the problem:
Loosen the turret so that it can move freely, take the turret off the scope, then find the elevation mark 10moa (because you are shooting high), place the 10moa mark facing the eye piece and above the dot / arrow on the bobby, Lock the turret back down, now you should be able to rotate the turret back down to 0.  If you are still shooting to high or to low just repeat this steps.

Let me know if this worked for you.

Thanks guys Ill try that.... Well that took all of two seconds to make me feel better and stupid all at the same time.  I consider myself pretty knowledgable when it comes to the technical stuff but i must admit I never new that little trick.  That saved me lots of stress so THANK YOU ALL.  I still placed an order for a NEW VLTOR MUR upper, so be it.  My gun will now look cooler too.

Don't feel bad. I had the same problem.  First time out with my Mark 4 I was shooting high and could not move the POI down.  Packed it in and went home then posted here and was told about the turrents. I took my completly off and used screwrdiver to zero.  Then reinstalled the turrents.
