| i'm putting a new ar together and trying to decide on my options. i'm wondering what accupoint owners think of this optic. tough? good for all around use? good glass? fast? i have an eotech and a acog ta33-r. i'll either get the accupoint, another eotech or maybe another acog of some sort. thanks |

You can't go wrong with the Larue mounts or any of those optic choices. I would go with the Accupoint and Larue mount, my second choice would be an Acog of some sort. If desired at a later date add the mini red dot sight to it. Not that there is anything wrong with the Aimpoint combo, I just prefer a simple package with as few pieces as possible. |

I have used the Accupoint and I really like them they are not as well built as an S&B or the ACOG but they are built very well. Some say they are not built for military abuse but I know of one Special Force Unit that is run 6 of them and plans on order more. The Accupoint is a very nice optic. Here is what I think you should do. Don't get what you already have. With the LaRue QD mounts you can switch up all you like. I would get an Accupoint, Leupold CQ/T or consider the Aimpoint. Figure out what you would most like to do with this AR and get the optic that best matches your needs. Then next year get the other optic that you did not choose this time around. You also need to consider the particular look you want on your AR. Like women, our AR's looks are important to us guys although some will not admit it! I have an Eotech 512 and Leupold CQ/T. I love them both. I have another AR sitting here that I am building and I am going to put an Aimpoint ML3 on that one. I too was considering the Accupoint but I will most likely put that on my next AR. I do not have an ACOG and I know that is an optic of choice too for the .308 AR that I also want to acquire. Good Luck! |
